Wow--I didn't know how rare this handle is--my pickup came with a nice shiny red one which looks like its never been used.

Lonnie--the diameter of the shaft is roughly 3/8" going from memory. Use a piece of cold-rolled steel rod for the smaller pin across the end (a hardened roll pin may also work).

BTW, the jack is stored in a recess behind the driver's seat.
Sorry to waste everyone's time! Looked behind the seat tonight & what to my suprise? There was a jack & the rod for the jack that doubles as a tool to lower the spare!

I swear, no more questions until I get the owners manual!

I too didn't get a crank with my truck. I have started to make one out of a 4 foot piece of 3/16 cold rolled steel rod, $2.49 at the store. I heated one end with the torch and bent it to an L shape at the end. 3/16 seems the perfect size to fit in the notch on the "winch". Also fits through the the little guide hole by the license plate nicely. Now I have to figure out something for the handle end, either bend that end into an L too, or thread it and fit a handle on it.
