Your gasoline is only 2.63/gal?!!!!?????

The diesel is about 55 cents cheaper over there then on the east coast. Also the gas is about 60 cents cheaper.

I still dont mind, fuel is fuel and ill still buy the same amount every day, id say ill stay that way until 3.80/gallon, then id simply start driving slower, my average speed always has been and probably always will be the inverse of the fuel price.

Commenting on the subject of energy generation, ill pull a breif on my position on it. I am neutral about nuclear power, until I heard of sites such as the Hanford nuclear facility, I wouldnt wanna be living near that. Over on long island, NY we have the Shoreham Nuclear power plant, which was a power plant completed in the 80's and hasnt been open one day, it was built and disagreement with the locals forced them to close the plant before it even opened.

So I have never really seen negative effects of nuclear plants. There is a research place on LI with a couple of reactors, increased cancer rates in my area, im not too sure if its from the research place, or lawrence aviation about 5 minutes away from my home, which is now a superfund site because sombody was dumping something toxic, and it was a whole lot of it.

Alot of the power on the east coast comes from hydroelectric power, from the niagara river and power generation there. I think hydroelectric is the greatest way to get power, its not what people call an "eyesore" and has no major effects on the environment.

Windmills are good too, I dont think they will be sprouting up, but I have absolutely no problem with them.

Since im on a roll here, I feel that trucking is a vital key to transportation in America. I believe in trucking for just about every load that needs to be moved, with the exception of heavier items, such as ores, coal, metals, cars. Mainly because the trucks have to adhere to weight limitations on the road, something like 150k/lbs for a double, and 75k for a single. (correct me if im wrong)

I think that heavy loads should be put on trains, and all the normal stuff should be shipped via truck/trailer.

Now thats one hell of a 2 cents for me, im exhausted

Scroll horizontal when you don't have the full read. (feb 2007) I have not been back to Pearson Ford in San Diego since February.

I think it's an old picture that he just used to show the different types of fuel available, at least I recall having seen that one and the bio-willy pic before.

Here in Orange County, D2 price I've seen lately  is $3.59 to $3.89.

I was told that Furnace Creek, Death Valley last week was $4.55 per gallon, D2. OUCH

So... until I'm being paid to drive down to San Diego, I won't be seeing Pearson Ford's fuel stop.

Yeah the little Honda CB1-400 did my runnin' around today. That's 55 mpg and only $3.10 per gallon ("only"... geeze :x )

D2 in Des Moines now at a high of $3.32, where I buy fuel it's at $3.27 / gal.

Oil prices will be hovering around mid-nineties / barrel but there's a report due out on the 14th (maybe 15th?) concerning fuel stockpiles I think that will influence the price again one way or the other.

The stockpile report is due on the 15th, but the big trigger will be the options contracts which expire on the 13th.

This upcoming week is expected to be a very rough.

No use bitchin', we've seen this coming for a long time, and have some of the cheapest transportation fuel in the world.
Perhaps, but not the cheapest. In Venezuela, you can still fill up an '69 Chevy for five bucks. In Iran, could be still cheaper. I was traveling in 1975 trough Iran by truck. The Schah was still in power. We could fill up for $3.00
The size of the tank did not matter, there was no measuring device on the pump
Anyway, we are still lucky to have one of the cheapest fuels but that may change soon. According to this report
http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/art ... 857754.htm

China may surpass the USA in crude oil consumption in 2010. That will have a huge impact on oil prices. We better get used to smaller cars, like the rest of the world.

You would "adjust" so that you could continue your transportation.

Money, miles, years is the bottom line.

I like minimizing further depreciation ... from the beginning.

No portfolio, except what my 401k has, which I don't pay attention to, but I do like to know what to expect energy wise so I watch NBR and check bloomberg.
