Water sensors

Post by asdex »

Hi just wondering if someone could tell me what the two water sensors are for?
I guess one is my water temperature gauge which isn't working at the moment and the other maybe to tell a glowplug controller how hot the motor is???
Thanks

The one with the red wire is for engine temp. (Dash Guage)
The second one ( with the grey clip and the two wires) is a thermo resistor and based on the reading it gets it tells the glow system how long to fast burn the plugs based on coolant/eng. temp.
It would appear that someone has been messing with the harness there as one wire appears to be unplugged and one has had something grafted on to it.
