LD28: 1) Piston Peference & 2) Parts Catalog Availabilit

I recently located this website and thought I should provide it here for the benefit of others. Please note it is my guess that the OE pistons in our LD20/LD28 engines were supplied by Izumi (http://www.izumi-piston.com.tw/). I do know similar pistons were supplied by Izumi for the Isuzu IDI diesel engines of this same vintage. All of this hardware is that of Sir Harry Ricardo and is quite old; it is the Comet MkIV or V combustion chamber.

I am in the process of preparing one of my blocks for machining and do not have a factory parts catalog. Does anyone here have such a reference? We could all use a copy of this document.

I am currently talking with http://www.smsdiesel.ie/ in an effort to source the LD28 OE pistons but need parts numbers to be able to accomplish this.

Please let me know if you have a parts catalog that can help me in this regard.

December 1982 Datsun 810 parts catalog in section 120E-1 (LD28) has the following part numbers:

Piston Set with pin (std) 12010-W2502
Piston Set with pin (0.5) 12010-W2504
Piston Set with pin (1.0) 12010-W2506

All these part numbers are for a set of 6 pistons with pins and pin clips.
