I cleared up the warm start problem on my White Maxima by adding a pushbutton which energizes the reduced voltage relay. The factory setup (at least on the 83) energizes the plugs at reduced voltage anytime the engine is cranked - regardless of temp. My pushbutton just makes the controller think the engine is being cranked. It works quite well and is hard for the uninformed to abuse.
