Alternator wire

In the FSM, the diagram regarding the alternator appears to be telling me to wire the main post on the alt. to the NEG terminal of the battery. This is incorrect right? That main post should be wired to POS with heavy gauge wire, no?

I think I found my answer on a different page of the FSM.

That 7S wire is a ground wire, that wiring diagram seems to be incomplete, it is missing wires and where they go.
