I used to have an NOS EGR Rev Sensor, but I'm not sure if I've sold it. Picture of it is below.
Revolution Sensor, 25068-S8200, US$50 + shipping
I have seen two bad ones, so I know that they do go bad.
Because you have to remove the IP sprocket (and all that entails) to access the Rev Sensor, it's a PITA to do, or even to get from a JY or donor engine.
If I still have this one, I'm willing to part with it. If it's prepaid (via PayPal, etc.), I'll ship it to Malaysia.

One failed on me at approx. 270,xxx mi. Looks like the potting compound was not up to the heat cycles. Replaced it with the one from my spare IP.
I would not replace the rev counter UNLESS: It was time to change the IP belt/ tensioner. AND I would also change the IP pulley shaft seal, if that had never been done on a high-mileage engine.
Symptoms of failed rev counter:
EGR valve inop
Throttle butterfly stays open
Air filter box may gather more oil than usual
Electronic IP advance solenoid (and therefore load/rpm-based advance) may not function correctly

Thanks for reply
So how much S & H to Malaysia? I have 3 LD28 (2 of it have the sensor but that one in my cedric doesn't come with the sensor).
Anyone can make for me the diesel tacho amplifier to drive a standard tacho. I have changed my meter cluster with the cluster that have a tacho. But my car doesnt have the EGR amplifier.

I cannot find the NOS EGR Rev Sensor in my stashes; it is either lost, or I sold it earlier.
I have two prepared EGR Controllers that are already modified with a tachometer output. I modify yours for US$30, and I sell the unmodified cores for $20, so a modified EGR Controller that is modified will cost you US$50 + shipping. Or, I can sell you the parts to perform your own modification for US$6 + shipping.
I'll keep looking for the NOS EGR Rev Sensor, but I do not know if I will find it.

I found my spare NOS rev sensor today. If you still need one, I'll sell it. It's the one in the pictures upthread.
