sd22 and sd25

SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

sd22 and sd25

Its been awhile but all is good with my little stinky and have a few questions. I have a very good running sd22 diesel and have another truck with a sd25 diesel that needs a new head but if one decided to fix the 25 would it slip right in without modifications? Also I noticed is the gear shift is starting to get a little chattery, I can move it around to different spots and this will not happen, so is this a concern and if so what would be the fix if there is one? My last one is what will fit off the sd25 and tranny etc if I cannot find another head as it is cracked?

I have a couple SD25 diesel engines, they install and fit just like the SD22 that has less power, I even used the SD22 transmission.

The only SD25 heads I seen for sale were from China, I am not sure I would go that route, but you could ask a forklift place about a used or new SD25 head.

I have a couple SD25 heads, one on an overheated SD25 engine with a compressed rod, when I had the head off, I looked at the head and it looked good(no cracks that I seen), but I will not ship a used head, where are you located?

The other is a bare head(new) without valves or anything else.

I do not understand the shift lever issue you described.
I know the voices are not real,
but they have some really good ideas.
