Pyrometer

SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

Slang aside , my pyrometer from Hewitt direct was about $85 USD. I chose the same older design which has a bulb ... not LED illumination. Add about $60 more for the thermocoupler and cable.

Mate, that sounds expensive. I got dealer prices as I had thought about bringing a bunch down here for resale. How far away from Hewitts do ya live?? Might be able to do a deal for ya in future.

Here is a copy of the email he sent me
From: Sales [mailto:sales@hewittindustries.com]

Subject: RE: Attention: Bruce Dankmyer

George,

Visa is fine with us.

Incandescent

012-030-02-D $ 14.40 Boost
010-202-02-D $ 37.04 Pyro
015-001-B $ 13.81 Bent thermocouple
035-004 $ 9.12 7’ Lead wire

With Led
012-030-12-D $ 19.34 Boost include 8” installation kit
010-210-12-D $ 38.15
015-001-B $ 13.81
035-210-084 $ 9.12

The biggest price difference is in the boost but the LED version includes a hose kit. Standard do not.

This would be plus shipping.

Bruce
If I buy more gauges in the future, would you be interested in picking them up for me and shipping down via the normal postage service? You could then get them at my price, I will pay you for your time etc, Hewitts only use DHL which was over a hundred bucks to send a small box to Auckland - let me know what ya think dude

Try: http://www.usps.com/
Calculate Postage / Priorty Mail International ( http://pe.usps.com/text/Imm/ab_012.htm#ep1572941 )

Estimate 3 lbs (small box) should be about $30 USD and take 6-10 days.
