No dash lights

I have no dash illumination! Also no dome light. The battery, glow light, and turn signals do work. I already pulled the cluster and tried replacing the bulbs, but when I try them in the illumination slots, nothing. I noticed that the little dash light knob looks kinda beat, it looks a little melted. Would this be the cause?

Looking at
the FSM for the illumination circuit, page EL-60, it's clear that all the lamps you mention ground through the Illumination Control Unit (ie the dash lights dimmer knob, ICU).
For a check, find the Black wire at the back of the Illumination Control Unit, pierce or backprobe it and ground it. Is the control functional now? If so, bad ground to the ICU: follow the connectors chart in the picture linked above and fix the ground.
If no change, pierce or backprobe and test the Red/Yel wire and make sure there's 12v there with the light switch ON. If not, check fuse 13.
Everything check OK so far? Pierce or backprobe the Red/Blue wire and ground it. Lights should all come on -- this bypasses the ICU. If the lights still don't come on, it's a wiring or switch issue upstream -- probably the lighting switch at the column (the MultiFunction switch: MF Switch).
