was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a nissan 4x4 manual transmission that will bolt up to the LD28? i have a motor and looking for something to put it in. has anyone seen the engines adapted to another kind of tranny? just looking for some ideas. thanks in advance.

any of the 71mm based 4x4 trans [pathfinder etc] can have the front case swaped to suit the engine.not the 81mm box used with the VG30-

LD20II[T] are sold with 4X4 in vans.

plenty of steel plate adaptors to suit LD28 to fit other makes like GM/CHEV and Rover--and bellhousing castings to suit toyota and borgewarner.

supose ford trans as well but not up to date with these.

do you know where i can find info on the steel adapters? or is this something i have to make myself? i have been doin some research for the adapters but can't find anything on them. thanks

these are australian mass production adaptors.
other specialist.plenty of small companies in NZ that export.

often see adaptors--mostly full cast kits in europe but not seen any listed on internet.
