Leviton Switches & Receptacles

Because Leviton has several different product lines (Contractor, Residential, Commercial, Industrial) and wiring options (Side (under screw), QuickWire (back-stab), Back (clamp: best)), it's difficult to find the particular switches & receptacles I prefer without having specific Leviton model numbers. And, HD obscures the model numbers in their own system. I've done the research, and below is for my future use . . .

Choices I've made:
  • Decora format
  • White color
  • Commercial or Industrial (used to be marketed as "Plus + Pro", as stupid as that sounds)
    • except for illuminated switches, because the Commercial ones with lights look bad (to me)

Order what I think I'll need and have them delivered to my house free; it's much easier than trying to find them in the store, and costs the same!

[later]
Every time I convert a garage's ceiling lamp socket to a receptacle (so I can install 4' LED shop lights), I forget that I need the special wall plate that is 5" OD to cover the round ceiling box. I seem to always order the 4" one first, then remember that it won't cover the gap.

I used to order a plastic goof ring:
Southwire Garvin 8 Inch Decorative Ceiling Trim Plate For Fixture And Security Device Mounting White (CBD-800)

But the better method is the 5" OD metal wall plate from Kyle Switch Plates (SPBCR-W)

It requires either mounting the receptacle to the box first, or punching two holes in this place to mount to the box, but it's also not 8" OD, and comes in white or black.
