Well, you might try a different source.
The first one, 33006, is only 20 micron, which is pretty darned fine for a fuel prefilter.

I can't recall if, on the 300D, this filter is on the suction side of the lift pump. If it replaces the "cigar filter", I would think it would be OK. But I'm suspicious of that 20 micron rating.

The second one, 33007, is explicitly a wire mesh screen and has a rating of 50 microns, which is pretty fine for a wire mesh. I'm sure it would work just fine at a 720 diesel prefilter.
