Last year on my East Coast trip, I visited a friend in Worcester, MA who had a bunch of old oil cans in his backyard shed. He wanted to get rid of them. I thought that would be a great fuel supplement so I took them. Most of the cans were SAVOL ATF Type A oil. I tried to find this company on Google. No luck. Did anybody heard of that brand? BTW, I added 1 qt per filling to the tank. LD28 liked it a lot

It seems Savol Chemical Company manufactured insecticides, and certain consumer pharmaceuticals in the 1940s, and the SAVOL trademark was associated with Uniroyal Chemical Company.

Today, the Ecolab (medical industry disinfectant supplier to hospitals, restaurants, etc.) also uses the name "Savol" for one of their products, overseas at least.

But Savol also had a line of industrial lubricants.
