Biodiesel Classes

I regularly teach classes in making homebrew biodiesel around the US, and sometimes in building biodiesel equipment.

They're listed at http://www.girlmark.com/tour

Extreme Biodiesel

I attended a 4 hr sales/seminar with this company in their shop in Orange, CA, Feb 10, 06. Ya wanna learn the shortcomings of the widely known Appleseed system? I personally witnessed a 45 gallon batch of restaurant waste oil being processed from beginning to completed product in 4 hrs. ASTM tested it in front of a group of 25. I'm impressed. But this isn't cheap either.

The Appleseed system is cheap. You can build it yourself using commonly-available scrapyard or hardware store parts and be up and running in a weekend and under $200 -- sometimes a lot less, depending on how good a scrounge you are.

Turnkey systems run up to (ones I've seen) $5k.

Comparing a turnkey system with the Appleseed processor has to be done with that in mind.
