Doing a water pump on my 1985 CD17 is there a special puller for the harmonic balancer .
Not sure if a jaw puller would damage pulley mike

I have looked through the CD forum and in users rigs forum and cannot seem to locate a picture of what the balancer looks like, so I cannot advise how to pull it off.

You may want to try the PM feature and send asavage ( Al ) a message and ask him. He is the forum manager/moderator and is the only person that is still active on here that used to have one of those beasties.
He does not check into the forum all that much unless to see how the the "operation" of things are going so a PM may be the best way to get your question answered.

I used a regular 3 jaw puller when I did the whole timing belt(s) replacement. Mine came off quite easily but your mileage may vary.
