The car is an auto with the LD28. It has over 200k on it with many more to come. It is the auto but im still getting almost 30mpg with it running a little on the rich side cuz I like smoke. :D The only extras I've done so far is tint, free flow exhaust, and the k&n stock filter replacement.

I plan on changeing it to a electric fan next week along with adding a second alternator where the a/c pump should be. After that I would like to install a Turbo with intercooler, along with a pyrometer, and boost gague by the end of the summer.

Why a 2nd alternator? You planning to turn it into a low rider?

Just curious...

Well 1. im 16 and I have a subs and 2. Im putting in a electric fan that will take 17 amps. The ac pump didnt work or something because the system was drained when I got the car so Its a easy mod to do.

Mechanically, true.

The installs I've heard about fed different batteries. Right off I can't think of a regulator that would control 2 alternators feeding the same battery - but I haven't thought about it a lot. <g> But maybe you want a battery in back anyway to run your system. Might want to do the math on how much horsepower a 150amp alternator loads on the engine. The Max is no way over powered.

Pretty hefty draw for that fan. There was some discussion here about electric fans. IIRC it seemed like the standard mechanical fan was _real_ hard to beat.

I was just going to connect the one bigger alternator. The only reason I have to leave the stock is the vaccum pump so I was going to discount the wires going to it.

Thats what I thought too but it does move 2500 cfm. (Flex-a-lite 398)

I revomed the Fan and clutch today and you can remove them seperatly or at one time.

I'm in Chicago; should be back in SF early July. However, a month ago a lady t-boned my left front wheel and drove off. I am presently trying to get another spindle/strut assembly - it appears to be effectively one piece and the joint is bent. Car won't go very far or fast.

Cheers

Got your PM. Good luck on the repairs. Sad to see an old girl get knocked out.
