WTB: LD28 Industrial style oil pan

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

WTB: LD28 Industrial style oil pan

Post by LanceVance »

Looking for an LD oil pan like the one pictured below. This is an industrial (forklift, pump) application oil pan that has two protrusions on the sides, increasing oil capacity. If anyone has one that is in decent shape that they wouldn't mind giving me a good deal on I'd love to hear from you. Would need to be shipped to zip code 79938.

Text preferred nine1five -383- 75SixSix.

Thanks much!

Afraid I need the mid/rear sump style. Thanks though!

If anybody has any suggestions where I might find one I would be very appreciative!

Over 200 views and nothing yet :|.

Surely someone has one of these tucked away in the corner of their garage gathering dust?

May end up being a "quest" for sure.
Probably already tried this but, perhaps reach out to some forklift repair places ? Not sure what other applications used this engine in an industrial application.
Good luck. !

Thanks!

Reached out to a few forklift parts suppliers, no luck so far. This is a back burner project for now, but I expected some difficulty finding one of these pans so I've posted in quite a few places. We'll see what turns up... or doesn't!

Was thinking more of the places that do forklift repairs.

Not sure why you need the added capacity, but other ways to accomplish the same thing would be, just change your oil more often, and, or, add an engine oil cooler. If you're running this type of engine extra hard, you could go to a straight-weight engine oil, like 30W.

Not in Canada brother, I'm in Texas. Curious to see what you've got.

Just looking to build from the very best possible start point, while using (mostly) factory parts. L28ET oil cooler, high pressure/volume pump, glyptol in the block... this oil pan is just part of the recipe.

I could easily make it using one of the rear sump pans I've got, but the hunt makes for a more satisfying journey.
