Try to get to nissandiesel, get Al's home page instead?

I've had two reports of this so far, one from Ray Mac and the other from Dale. Both said that clicking on the http://nissandiesel.dyndns.org link got them to my personal home page at http://asavage.dyndns.org/ instead.

My personal home page is the "default" server that gets hit if an old browser (or a non-compliant with http 1.1 browser) doesn't supply the URL as part of the page request. I assumed that everyone is now using an http v1.1 compliant browser, but Ray Mac is running XP (browser is unknown until he figures it out), and Dale wasn't sure. I'm not sure how to "fix" this, or even if it is a widespread problem.

Has anyone else had this problem (got my personal home page instead of nissandiesel forum)?

I found a problem, thanks to new member Zoltan: I had one item in the Configuration misconfigured for the old domain. The confirmation email one receives when intially registering was having the new member click a URL that is my personal domain. Apache may -- or may not -- redirect to the new domain. I have a redirect rule in Apache that's supposed to redirect all queries to the original domain to the new domain.

Put another way, when I started this forum in Nov-05, I had it off "asavage.dyndns.org", but shortly afterward I created a new (virtual) domain for it, "nissandiesel.dyndns.org" and told Apache to redirect any queries for the old domain to the new one. I think. I'm not at home to check the configuration on that part, but anyway . . .

I reconfig'd phpBB2 to send the correct domain for the URL in the initialisation email. Can't hurt, might help. It's all vood00 plus zeros & ones anyway. And, at the very base of it, ALL electronics are analog.
