Constant governor on SD25

SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

Constant governor on SD25

Does anyone have any experience in re governing the injection pump on SD25 to something that would maintain a constant engine rpm.

From what I read this can be done by acquiring a forklift pump. If so where could I get one?

Has anyone played with the diaphragm spring to get it to set to the speed you like and leave the throttle body lines off?

In either case my engine would change loads. I'm wanting to utilize the engine for power generation.

Thanx

SD25? I thought they had rotary pumps. But regardless of the engine, if you have the Diesel Kiki inline pump, I have a forklift governor that would be perfect for you. It only runs 2200 rpm so it's no good for use in a pickup. $50 plus shipping.

There is no static rack position that equates to an idle point. It must be dynamically governed.
