my whatever the hell its 3 speed with o/d trans wont shift into top gear..
it gets into 2nd and stays there, gets 60kph max revving its head off..
any ideas why this is happening?
the engine was recently changed and all fresh atf put in...
the van is going on a 1200km journey next weekend(supposedly)
my sister is taking it,and it needs to be ready....
auto trans not shifting into top gear??? urgent

Check the vacuum hoses.
That happened to me when I forgot to reconnect the vacuum hose after changing the alternator.

had thought of a vac leak..have checked all the hoses etc....
i think i may have found it..
the hose going into the vac pot thing on the ip(operates off the accel cam byy a rod) was split,so i cut the end off and put it back on..
havent been able to retest it as the wheel is now somehow fouling on the brake caliper...
no idea why, i have just put new pads in it....
might get the grinder ot and give the caliper a bit of a shave..theres plenty of meat in it...
also need to get these damn reverse lights to work....gggrrr bloody gremlins...alt isnt charging either, it keeps blowing the charge fuse
