can any one tell me if i have to remove the cambelt and pulleys to get the water pump off my ld20 vanette? cant seem to free it up

I think you find you need a simple puller.
these are very tight so they tend to stick.
i think they have 2 threaded holes.

the early model had a removable outer pulley so you didnt need to get the center.

thanks for your reply, looking at it now i'm wondering if i need to remove the cambelt and pulleys as the pump looks like it extends under the rear of the cambelt housing, help!! I dont want to dig deeper than i have to

the top cover maybe.
i think you can also remove the lower cover with the pulley on.

it does not go behing the belt.

oh but it does!! 2 bolts for cover over water pump hidden behind crank pulley, 1 bolt each for water pump hidden behind cam-belt tensioner and governor
