SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

New to the forum and would like help in answering a basic question.

How comfortable would you feel driving a 720/sd22 on a road trip with 2 dirtbikes in the back and pulling a 1300lb tent trailer? Will be traveling from Boise to Moab. thanks

You will travel slow on level roads and crawl up hills.

I don't like to tow over 60-65 anyways, no matter what the tow vehicle is.

That is about the trailer weight i tow with my truck less the dirt bikes. It will do it, but plan on being down to 3rd gear on long grades, bout 35mph. If you add another person and gear for a couple of days, it would be a miserable trip.
