I've been storing this for a long time because I was going to yank the crank out for a stroker project, but couldn't make myself tear apart a complete rare running diesel engine just for the crank...

Nissan Datsun DIESEL LD28 Engine and Trans - $1000 (SE PDX)

A complete running Diesel 2.8 litre 6 cylinder engine from an '82 Nissan Maxima Wagon. Dimensionally the same as the 240,260 and 280 Z engine. Bolts right in to any early Z car. 30 mpg in that application and lots of torque. Easy conversion as there is very little electronics . Rotary Pump injected diesel. Screw in fuel knob for adding a turbo to this up to about 8 lbs of boost . Very rare with the forged steel crankshaft. Perfect for putting the exhaust manifold and turbo from a 280zx on and run in a Z car or normally aspirated for something like a Land Rover. This is a complete engine package.. Alternator, radiator, Power Steering, all new hoses and belts, air conditioning, control boxes and engine and trans mounts . 4 speed auto trans with shifter and driveshaft yoke to mate to your choice of driveline. Came from a 116k mile car that has a very complete record book of the more than thorough maintenance done. Owner deceased and car was parked under a tree making it cosmetically undesireable.

Last summer there was an 82 Diesel in the Mowery yard in Newark, Ca. it was a rusted out old beater of a PY and the engine looked like crap, rusty water, neglect etc...

In the bed was 2 IP, head bolts, hard fuel lines, Injectors and a bunch of stuff engine related. It was about closing time, so figured I would come back. well it was gone...all of it when I came back.

I don`t know if it is a Datsun Diesel lover, or someone wanting to run it on WVO or??? Almost never see these in the yards, and when I do, let it slip right out from under me. :>/

Like I need some more junk to drag home.

It's not all junk, the electrical components are worth money on the American SD22/25 stuff, you can buy them for $15.00 and sell them for a minimum of $50.00 usually, although you have to put a minimum on the auctions, they are hard to find in good condition, there's a lot of people out there with choke cables.

I am in need of a bleeder screw for the sd22. The screw is on the top of the Bosch kiki diesel pump. The part number is16711-99000. If you are willing to sell both screws or just one i will pay top dollar! Please let me know asap!
