im trying to replace my alternator on a 1981 sd 22 diesiel in a 720 truck.
the thing is im not sure how and where the wires hook back up on the back of the alternator.
could i get some help on that?
or even just a pic of one installed?

There should only be 4 wires, 2 of them in a plastic plug that goes in the plug hole, a large white wire going to the main output post, and a main black wire that grounds to the body of the alternator, that is about it.
Unless you are trying to put a different alternator on your truck from something else, or you bought a newer alternator that has 3 wires in the plug, I have no idea about that, there was someone else on here with that issue, but I don't know which thread it was, but they bought the alt. on ebay.
