Looking for an LD oil pan like the one pictured below. This is an industrial (forklift, pump) application oil pan that has two protrusions on the sides, increasing oil capacity. If anyone has one that is in decent shape that they wouldn't mind giving me a good deal on I'd love to hear from you. Would need to be shipped to zip code 79938.
May end up being a "quest" for sure.
Probably already tried this but, perhaps reach out to some forklift repair places ? Not sure what other applications used this engine in an industrial application.
Good luck. !

Problem with being retired is that you never get a day off.

Thanks!
Reached out to a few forklift parts suppliers, no luck so far. This is a back burner project for now, but I expected some difficulty finding one of these pans so I've posted in quite a few places. We'll see what turns up... or doesn't!
Not sure why you need the added capacity, but other ways to accomplish the same thing would be, just change your oil more often, and, or, add an engine oil cooler. If you're running this type of engine extra hard, you could go to a straight-weight engine oil, like 30W.

Just looking to build from the very best possible start point, while using (mostly) factory parts. L28ET oil cooler, high pressure/volume pump, glyptol in the block... this oil pan is just part of the recipe.
I could easily make it using one of the rear sump pans I've got, but the hunt makes for a more satisfying journey.
