Flywheel Tooth Count SD22

SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

Flywheel Tooth Count SD22

Post by djekk »

Anyone know what the flywheel tooth count is on a SD22 5 speed in an 82 truck?

This info would save me the work of pulling it apart to count them.

Thanks

Apparently, ninety-nine.

120 for the LD28 (and a whole pile of other common Nissan engines).

NAPA sells the SD22 flywheel (through 10/82, it says), for $73, their part No. "SDF 309", with a $37 core charge. However, you can't look it up via napaonline.com for some reason. I see it in the NAPA ProLink system, but not on the retail system -- the retail system doesn't list the diesel engine in the drivetrain category. Weird.
