Fuel return line installation question
I have had all six injectors of my LD28 engine serviced. After I installed the injectors and was reinstalling the fuel return line, I noticed that the bolts were hollow and there is a 180 degree hole through the top of the bolt. All this made sense to line up the holes with the return line, until I got to #1, which is a 90 degree turn to the hose and injection pump. How does the returning fuel get to the hose and to the pump? This engine is in my Albin 27 (1985). Your help in getting this correctly installed will be most appreciated, Ray Worthington, St. Simons Island, Georgia.

I've not personally had the return line off, but what you are describing is a banjo bolt fitting. The hole need not align with the tubes. The portion of the tube around the bolt has clearance which will allow fuel to flow all the way around the bolt and enter the hole at any point. Actually, on the return line, the flow would be opposite of what I describe, but you get the idea.
