SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

That's actually what I've been thinking about. I might bring it up the side wedged between the cab and the bed first, to see if it works, before I cut any holes...

Have you thought about insulating the cab with some dynomat or herculiner or something. If you quiet the cab from outside noises the engine could be making pedestrians ears bleed while you can chill to some classical :lol:

Yeah, that was my first try really. I got a bunch of stuff from Second Skin Audio it insulated the entire inside of the cab - it helped a lot but not enough.

I went ahead with my snorkel project it's already making a big difference. I'll post pictures when I get a chance...

Clay et al: At the risk of pissing everyone off I thought I might suggest a really great intake muffler that probably wouldn't take much more effort to put on than what you've already done.

Using your turbine between an air filter and a throttle body ... without the pump ... would reduce intake noise. :twisted:
