Wanted to introduce myself!
Not new to Nissan/Datsun (former owner of my favourite old truck, a 1985 Nissan 720), I picked up (against my wifes wishes) a 1982 Datsun 720 king cab 2.2 diesel. Picked it up for $500, needs some work to get safety certificate, list is large
and in fact just left for the body shop yesterday for floor pan and rad support work over this coming week.The truck has 278k kms on it (should have lots of mileage left on it), runs like a dream, except for the seemingly normal DPC issue, has a cable through the firewall, kid that sold it to me told me "just give it a tug to shut down the engine".
Looking for a box for it, unless any of you have lines on new box side skins?
Also, want to learn more about diesels in general, bought a service manual and want to clean this baby up.
Anyway, just lurking and reading right now, and wanted to say hello to you all.
