Oil Filter Reference Numbers in the UK

#1

Post by GARYSTIGER955i »

Hi there, having spent numerous hours trawling and cross referencing part numbers for the early LD28 (81-82) with the Non special filter, this forum has helped me only slightly as the reference numbers is not fully recognised in the uk. So here goes
1. Oem 15208-W3401
2. Nipparts J1311010
3. MANN + HUMMEL W932/81 http://www.mann-hummel.com/ select UK as country of origin
4. Crossland 2029
5. MAHLE 07640865
6. WIX 7118 (new Number)

Also have the Number for a Thermostat which is
1. Oem W93583
2. First Line FTK010
3. QTH QTH117K

I hope this Helps those like myself who have spent countless hours looking for parts for an old but good engine, mine by the way is in a 1988 landrover 90 which is on you tube here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCZL4FDJu_4
and this is a good forum by the way, cheers guys

WIX 7118 ?
listed as a hydrolic filter 38 microns.thats a oil strainer.

crossreference -W3401 to a forklift EMC 5652 and you get patrol TD42.

other nissan numbers with same specs.15208=oil filter engine
-W1194,-65011,-W3401,W1120[AUSTRALIAN BLUEBIRD L20B],-65014[DODGE V10],-65010
93X134mm 3/3-16UNF.
new number -43GOO 93X130MM

AUSTRALIAN NISSAN has amended the spec.these now use a short filter.
and you have to test the oring seal.2 versions direct to block or with 9 deg alloy adaptor.the later you can use many types as the oring surface is more usable.

in australia it cheeper to fit a ford falcon filter--Z9[AFL1].engish 2.0 cortina has the short version-Z160-these have a built in filter bypas for those lazy to change owners.

It is a new number for wix and yes when i put it in it came up as the same, but trust me its geniune as i have this filter on my engine, which i am about to change for a nipparts filter.. you may have to dig deeper to get what you want.. ie man w932/81 is available in the uk and maybe the world and it comes back for the datsun/nissan laurel 2.8d which is the early LD28 motor

Gary, I use the Mann+Hummel filter you listed, but that's because it's what my local parts store sell!! Good to see another U.K. LD28 owner on the forum, I thought I was the only one!! Here is a short video of my project,

australia uses the ryco oil filter numbers as crossreference numbers on other brands.do you deal with UK datsun club for gen parts.patrol fix for oil light flicker was to supply non-gen filters painted white.

I listed the mann search above to show how many sizes there is.its crazy.when i did a google i found a forum for passats that discused the practice of larger[diesel] filter on an AUDI.

the filter had different liter/Min 30 V 40,,retained 20% more crud and 14 V 18 micron.
the 14 micron had a higher bypass pressure setting.as the oil is forced through.the coment at the end was unless you have a dead engine dont bother

fleetguard is a good brand thats easy to get world wide.and list specs.
they list a filter for the [CZECH] SAME tractor that is 220 mm tall.

i have a fleetgaurd filter of a early landcruiser similar size and bigger dia at one end.same price.
fits the LD20Tupside down filter and is 19 micron allowing more oil flow.

have a french johndeer engine,on the filter[Z9] is MIL specs, shown in mutilingual schematic drawings.
