Well, as you can imagine, I'm rather new, so, a hi to all! Getting to business, My Z24 bit the bullet. And had the bearings and cylinder walls for desert

. Now, the transmission was just rebuilt, and I'm sure you see where this is going: Can I keep my 5-speed from factory, and will the Z24 engine mounts line up on a SD 2(2/5)? Any information on this would be much appreciated.

The front section of the transmissions need to be swapped.

Thank you very much, dn29626. Might I ask what I need to swap? I'm used to the older Chevy (If you can butcher it in, it'll work), not wishing to try that on a DD. Just the bellhousing, or is there a diesel version of my tranny I should attempt to source?
