Best way is to flush it. Search on transmission flush or similar.

I meant is there a plug or do i have to drop the pan/cover.

There isn't any drain plug. You can either drop the pan ( and clean it) or disconnect one of the hoses going to the radiator.
You can find here a thread describing the whole process, just search for it.

If you do end up dropping the pan I would suggest having a drain plug welded in. Makes the process pretty easy after that.
I plan to do this with mine as well and is a common modification when servicing Datsun automatic tranny's at my Datsun/Nissan/Z Car Performance specialty shop.
