There are many similarities between the four and six cylinder SD family of diesels. But the external differences such as turbocharging, injection pump variations, and transmissions justifies a forum separate from the four cylinder SD22.

To mention a few applications, the SD33 has been used in Nissan Patrols SUVs, International Scouts and Travelalls, industrial and marine with and without turbocharging.
