Hi all,
Rear brakes are my next project & I want to change the axle seals at the same time.
Is there a thread that covers this somewhere?
Thanks,
Lonnie

Strangely enough, I don't think so.

On my 1981 720 there are two rear axle seals on each side, IIRC, on each side of the bearing. The outside one comes off easily. The inner one required a special tool to either remove or install, I can't recollect which. It was easy to make but I had a welder then. If you have oiled rear brakes both seals will need replacing. I did this years ago so do not tax me regarding the details.
