Hi,Thank you for this site it is oresome. I have a LD28 in a boat and wonder what revs to run it at. I was running at 2700 but it sounds smoother at 2900 and the boat plans at this speed is this to hard on the motor do you think. Thanks Pete

I can't really advise, except to say that in automotive trim, my '82 Maxima LD28 can go a long way above 4000 RPM, and it probably is reasonably OK to run long periods at above 3000. OTOH, I am not running a continuous load at those RPM as you are in the boat.

Again, I can't fairly advise.

thanks for that its good to know that they rev over 4000 and maybe 2900 might be alright.

There's an industrial LD28 HP/Torque/RPM chart here somewhere . . . here it is. Click on it for the huge, printable version -- download it and print it using an application that can properly rescale it for your printer.
