FS (WA):Rol-Air "wheelbarrow" air compressor, $350

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

Not really Nissan diesel related, but who can't use a good tool?

I bought a larger, stationary compressor and don't use this one any more.

1.5 HP, in solid working condition, quiet and powerful, these are designed for contractor duty. I've upgraded this one with dual automatic tank drains that keep the tanks dry without you having to manually drain them. Nothing cheap or made in China on this rig. New power cord last year. Comes with a box of new spare parts (air filter, rubber feet, handgrips, spare pressure relief valve). Air hose not included.

Set up for 120v (can be run on a std household circuit without tripping the breaker), and the motor is capable of running on 240v if you prefer. Marathon "farm duty" motor is sturdier than OEM. Runs cool and quiet.

Compare with an Emglo. I will listen to offers, but I'm not giving this away for nothing, this is not a Harbor Freight item.

Nice tool, nice setup, Al. I have an Emglo in Chicago and when I get back there I"ll see about adding the auto-drain feature if there's clearance. I'll pass this link on to my buddy in Port Angeles in case he's interested.

If you ever rebuilt yours, maybe you could share some pointers. I got mine really cheap a couple years ago and it may need some parts soon; it's starting to clatter when it approaches the 130# cut-off point.

Surprisingly, after some research, I've been buying the Harbor Freight auto-drain kits. You have to throw away about half the kit and buy fittings locally, but I've installed three with one failure, better than usual odds with HF. They run from $10 to $20, depending what's on sale.

Nope, I've never gone into the head. I suspect it's not economical to do anything with the piston/bore, but replacing the valves is considered routine maintenance on larger heads; maybe so on your Emglo as well.

Glad to hear the HF tip. Amazing place even with all the pot metal. I think the Emglos have various rebuild kits available, up to and including "short blocks". Just another tuit.

Cheers, Rufus
