Want a diesel wagon but don't have $15K for a TDI, here is a great car for you.
1982 Nissan Maxima / (Datsun 810 until 1980ish) diesel stationwagon.
Mechanical: It is a real sound car. Starts right up smooth every time, drives and shifts very well, and stops great. Tires are in good shape (maybe 50% tread left?)
Body: Straight, good paint for it's age, and no rust. Lights, wipers and all work fine.
Inside: Needs some love. The worst things are, it is dirty and could use a good scrub down, dash is cracked, missing glove box, center plastic consul is broken, the locks don't quite work right on all the doors, and a few other minor quirks. All things that don't affect the driving of the car, just need attention if you want a perfect car.
Amenities: Automatic tranny, power windows (all work), power locks (don't work), AC (don't think it works), am/fm tape player (works), rear wiper (works), and I think the inside is big enough to move a refrigerator (no guarantees).
122K miles that shows as accurate on carfax (although the dirtyness of the inside makes it seem like more) This car will cruise down the road at 70mph no problem. It's a great little car and gets around 29 mpg's overall. Comes with a nearly full take of fuel.
