Hello,
I've bought a Nissan LD 28 engine (without any turbo) mounted on a boat.
This engine lacks a bit of power and I want to compare its torque and power to the original engine (mercruiser).
Does anybody has the curve of Power vs RPM and Torque vs RPM.
Regards
Georges

Google "jesco" or search here for same. They sell these engines and have a page or two of specs. Remember engines can have slightly different valve, govenor and injection timing depending on what use they were set up for; possibly a call to Jesco can clarify what their spec sheet refers to.

thanks for advice,
but I really need the graphical.
In fact, I need to submit a study to a propeller manufacturer.
The adaptation of the engine on a boat is quite diffcult. I've tried several propellers, but the speed is always insufficient (with the previous engine, the boat could go faster: about 20 KPH ; with a 100 CV mercruiser engine) and now only 12KPH.
To make a correct propeller study, they ask me many information (including the torque at several RPM).
It's quite an old engine (mounted originally on a cedric) and this information is quite hard to obtain in Europe, especifically in France.

You're welcome, although I think the moderator did some fine tuning of the link I left - good though as now I know how it is done now too.LD 28 boat wrote:Thank you very much.
This is all the information I need.
Now I'll have to make the case study.

Just been thinking too. When you state that your motor lacks power, I assume you have serviced it like new air filters, fuel filtration, valve clearance checks and anything else that can be done to make sure it is running at optimal levels?
