LD28 vs TD27t

OK, I'we been thinking this over N over again. I have 2 engines that I could put in my old Range Rover. one is an LD28(non turbo) out of other rangie, end a TD27t turbo out of Terrano2. The TD27t is lighter and has more power, but I always liked the old LD28, slow N stedy. what do you think?

Always get quizzed on why I put an LD28 into a land rover 110. Answer invariably starts with "I can fix it, if it breaks", followed by a phrase along the lines of "it hardly ever does", and ends with "I like the simplicity and steadiness of the engine".

I think you may have answered your own questin... "...but I always liked the old LD28".

Good luck with what ever way you go...

Kolatogari, really... I cant believe you would even consider the LD since it guzzles fuel like a big block Chevy and breaks crankshafts so often...

LOL... Sorry to the others here but this is sort of an inside joke between us. Like I said before I think you should go with the LD. The comments listed above were the reason I decided to give the LD a try on my re-power conversion project...

In case others would like to see what I was talking about it's here...
