WTB: Coolant hose kit

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

Yup, I went about ordering this gasket knowing it was a special order item. What I did was call my local NAPA store up on the phone to order it and went to pick it up today to find it's clearly wrong. Well it's good to know Fel-Pro makes the gasket and maybe I'll try buying one of them. Since AutoZone deals with Fel-Pro do you think I could take this certain EGR valve part number there to order it?

Yes. I'm not a big Autozone fan, but Fel-Pro is at the top of my list of third-party sealing products manufacturers.

You and me both, I consider Autozone the bottom-of-the-barrel parts store. I use their site to see about availability of items and in general if they carry it or have access to it I consider it to be widely available. The site is fairly friendly to use but I also check with NAPA and with OReilly too. I like CarQuest but they don't have online parts checking although I've found that often they'll have at least one of any item I've needed, even for a Peugeot diesel...which in Iowa is very unusual.

For me i think Pep Boys is the worst choice for auto parts, they are pretty pricey and they dont carry any parts for my maxi except for belts and plugs.

I would say the best parts store around here would be NAPA, and the napa lineup of parts are pretty good quality, also they can get special order parts usually on the same day.

NAPA has gone to two tiers of parts - some parts have more than two tiers. Stay away from any part whose part number's first digit is a '2'.

So the tier 2 stuff is of poorer quality?
