Searching for an uncracked cyl head SD22
Title says it all. I am finally getting around to my engine rebuild and both motors I have have cracked heads. The engine builder doesn't want to repair it. I am waiting for JESCO to call me back to see if she can find one. All the other parts types I have spoken to say they're out of stock and not available from Japan. Searching the web turns up a lot of Chinese manufacturers but none of them sell direct. Any ideas? Anybody got one for sale in good condition? I think the part no is
11041 q4000 (though this may be for forklifts(is it the same?))

Suggest your local Nissan Fork Lift dealer/repair place.
I believe they still get SD 25 parts and may have an 22 lying around.
Perhaps a marina that deals in old boats.
The Chrysler CN 433 is an SD22 and they sold tons of them.
Might have to drill out some of the casting blanks to get your accessories to bolt on but that's easy.
Good Luck

Problem with being retired is that you never get a day off.

Good ideas, and I tried them. Most parts guys were unwilling to do much more than look up the part on their computer and then tell me that it was unavailable. I am in possession of two heads with very similar cracks so I wasn't really jazzed about tracking down a junk yard engine and rolling the dice.plenzen wrote:Suggest your local Nissan Fork Lift dealer/repair place.

So I sent it off to Midwest Cylinder Heads. They put the whole thing in an oven and weld it up while it's in there. The engine guy that is doing the rebuild says that is the proper method so that's what I'm doing. Now, what to do with the other block...
