Steering leak

Fellow LD28ers:
I have a new to me, 1983 LD28 5 spd with 140k. Just had a bunch of work done but need to look at steering next. Is this leak in the photo potentially just tightening bolts or is there a common part that is suspect here and needs replacing?

See if the boot is full of juice. If so I think that means the rack needs some seals. If not clean up the mess (carb cleaner or brake cleaner in spray can, lots of rags, wear safety glasses and keep your face a way and other parts of you out from under) and see how fast and where it comes back.

If it's not too bad, could try Lucas Power Steering goo. Or just try it anyway. It seems to have cured mine for the last 3 years.

I too have used the Lucas Power Steering fluid WITH STOP LEAK and it works pretty well.
Have been dry now for 1 + year

Problem with being retired is that you never get a day off.
