what engine and transmission can i swap an sd22 for

okay, so i have a problem on my hands - my engine recently blew, and apparently coming across another sd engine here are rarer than seeing a unicorn. after contacting several local junkyards, scouting marketplace and calling various nissan enthusiasts, ive come to terms with the fact that i have to replace it with something else.

so now im wondering if anybody has any suggestion on what engine i should go for. the previous was an sd22 with rwd 4step manual gear, and i want something with minimal work. some modification is fine, but i need it to fit the current driveshaft, and i need it to stay a manual. id also prefer if the engine and transmission mounts are the same or close to the original for the sd22, but i can weld new mounts as long as i dont have to cut out the floor of the car.

I am sorry, I do not know anything about what vehicles are in Norway, gas KA engines are popular in the USA.

There must be some place that sells Nissan engines in your country, try a forklift place, we have a lot of forklifts in the USA with SD series engines, I bought a SD25 forklift engine on Ebay several years ago, one year I bought an SD22 from Australia and had it imported to the USA, but that was over 10 years ago.
