eBay (CA): 720 SD25 alternator, rebuilt

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

BIN = $79, current is $49. If someone here doesn't bid on this one, I will. $50 + free shipping is just too good to pass up, even if it's a low-quality rebuild, for that price it's worth having a spare!

AFAIK, this should fit the SD22 as well as the SD25.

My '82 SD22 has the LR150 unit.

Will also physically fit Maxima diesels in a pinch. I'd message the Seller to ask if he has the LR160 (60 amp model used in Maxima) in stock for such an attractive price.

I wonder if this is the same rebuilder I spoke to a year ago in Burbank, CA

I ran the exact same alternator in my maxima for about 8 months, the only flaw in running it in a non diesel maxima is that the rear output shaft that usually mates with the vaccum pump is spinning freely in the engine bay, and its mighty close to the charge wires. Otherwise the only thing that i had a problem with is that the idiot light wiring did not clip in well, it never "clicked" inside the socket.

Also there is a sleeve in the holes that mount into the lower bracket that needs to get punched out with a drift and hammer.
