D21 still in Mexico?

I read that these pickups are still made in Mexico. Anyone know anything about this? What are the chances of bringing one back? I wonder if they are made with a diesel?

I don't know whether the D21 is still manufactured in Mexico but the issue of importation has come up on numerous other boards I belong to, mostly regarding diesels imported into Canada that people wish to bring to the US.

I would check here to see what the current particulars are regarding imports. For cars / trucks where identical models were imported into the US the area is very grey and subjective, but for models not imported into the US the vehicle must be 25 years old. This age requirement is often the deal killer.

new pathfinder R50 is made in mexico.
the australian model looks japanese except for stange brand names on the front screen and door glass.the rear is a good quality tinted asashi and the front doors are clear.
build quality is also about the same as JEEP.

Tim: Left-side drives have been sold in Mexico you asked about. But you can will find on "right-side" drives (some like UK, Austrail, Japans, etc). Also diesel D21 on USA were never sold new.
