I do them all at once.

I rotate the engine to TDC. At that point, several of the cam lobes are "up". Adjust them. Rotate the engine until the opposing lobes come "up". Adjust them.

Easy as that. Just make sure you pay attention to which (intake or exhaust) valve you are adjusting and use the right feeler.

This is a Snap On crows foot distributor wrench #17 S6007.

The original label on it says it is for a Datsun 1.6 litre motor.

I bought it 15+ years ago to adjust the tappetts on my 67 Mercedes.

The drive is 1/2 inch, the wrench opening is 17 mm and o.a.l. is 9 inch.

No rust or damage and you can hardly tell its been used.

The picture says it all.
