Seattle CL: '88 Mazda B2200 w/SD22 frankentruck project

Buy it, sell it, negotiate, haggle, drag it out from under the workbench or behind the garage and make it someone else's problem!

This truck is not currently running, due to a possible head gasket needed. The truck is a frankenstein, meaning someone put an engine from one truck into the body of another. The body is a Mazda B2200 1988, and the engine is a Nissan SD 22. The engine appears to be in good shape, and the body of the car definitely is. It has a brand new alternator that I had put in, and a brand new $100 super battery. It needs vacuum brakes and steering. If you're into working on cars, this could end up being a good value.

It has been filled with biodiesel, but probably will need new hoses and filter soon. It is currently at Dr. Dan's in ballard. Give me a call if you're interested in checking it out...

Mazda Truck, Nissan Diesel Engine - SD 22 - $800

This truck is a custom modified diesel truck which had an engine from a different manufacturer put into it. The body is a 1988 Mazda 2200, the engine is a Nissan SD 22. This is a project truck. It has electrical and mechanical issues, not all figured out, one of which is a possible head gasket needed. I invested $400 dollars into it beyond its initial cost, and had it for only two weeks. I am not a mechanic, and it is over my head, so I want to pass it on. I put a brand new alternator in it, and a tank full of bio-diesel.

The truck is currently being housed at Dr. Dan's Alternative Fuel Werks in Ballard if you want to go and take a look at it. Just call Dr. Dan's at 783-5728.

"The truck is a frankenstein,..."

 :D  Oh I WANT that truck. LOL

I have to wonder what would happen with California SCAB/CARB (whatever) because ... as far as I know ... Calif now limits your replacement engine swap. If your new engine was never sold originally in CA, you can't do it now. But of course, I could be mistaken.
