SD diesels were widely available in the US in the 1981-86 Datsun/Nissan 720 pickups, and in Canada through '87 in the D21 pickup.

Tell us more!!!! Which one? I would be clueless filling in the blanks, since it has been 42 years since I learned any french, LOL. What about ordering a bunch and remailing them to those here that want some? I could paypal you, or just coach us placing an order. I guess one of us should TRY them first, make sure they have them?

Oh, and Happy New Year guys!!!

Let us know if you find a viable source. I am ready to buy a couple spares now. So are others I think.

I'm new here and stumbled on this site for this very reason. My diaphragm busted on my daily driver. Put me on the list if anyone finds a source. Thanks!

As the MB diesel through about 1974 (the 220D) used this diaphragm style, I'm surprised they're becoming NLA. Perhaps the Nissan version is different.

All dimensions are approximate.

OD is 2.748" (~70mm)
Step is 2.323" (~59mm)
Stem dia. is 0.549" (~14mm)
Stem height is 0.829" (~21mm)

Be aware that the stem has a an integral spring-loaded plunger, and that the dimension I measured was to the end of the plunger, unloaded. The measurement is from the inside diaphragm plate to the top of the plunger.

Funny, I sold off almost all my 720 & SD parts three years ago; this collection of bits was from one of the core engines that had a frozen rack in the Inline IP. I'd pulled the diaphragm cover to verify that, sold the engine, and never got these bits to the buyer. Now, all the stuff I have left is over in storage a half-day and $50 of ferry/fuel away, but this particular box of junk is, for some reason, out in my garage. Odd.

Al S.
