I have a 1981 Datsun king cab diesel pickup. 2wd, sd22 engine, 4 speed, 163,000 miles. good condition of body and interior. primer for paint. It is currently not running.There is a gouge in the seat of one of the fuel injectors that i made with a chisel when trying to remove an old washer. when you start the motor up it shoots a small bit of gas up out around the injector. I have been told that it needs a new head. I wanted to fix it but i don't have the time and i am moving soon so I would like to sell it to someone who can fix the problem or use the truck for parts. The engine ran well before i screwed it up. The engine is in good shape and the truck has all of its parts and they are in good repair. It had been running b20 for almost 2 years. Please only inquire if you are prepared to tow the car away. thanks

I've never actually seen a 4-spd behind an SD.

it is a 5 speed trans. I have looked at the truck looks in fair shape the keys do not work so i could not try to start it.It is missing the injection pump control mechanism.and some one put a bench seat in the king cab.

I picked up this truck.The timing gear was off by 1 tooth i fix that.the injectors had the wrong copper washer on them i fix that.run real good starts real fast with lot of smoke at first about 5 min then clean i will redo the timing when this cold weather stops so i can work on it.I will have to find a compression tester that will get in to do the job.
